Call for Paper: The 4th International Conference on Applied Science and Health

Health and well-being is a fundamental right of every human being. Governments of every nation responsible to provide facilities and supporting policies to enable people accessing healthcare services. As the Sustainable Development Goals have highlighted the commitment to end the epidemics of AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and other communicable diseases by 2030 by putting good health and well-being as the indicator.

Acknowledging the role as the agent of change, Yayasan Aliansi Cendekiawan Indonesia Thailand, internationally known as Indonesian Scholars’ Alliance (InSchooL), responses by providing a medium to share knowledge and experiences in the field of applied science and health. We invite experts, practitioners, professionals and students working in Asia and other regions to share their expertises, experiences, and views. Through this conference, the works can be reported as original research findings, best practices, review articles, and photo essays.

This year, lies in the philosophy of “Science for the mankind”, ICASH 2019 raises the efforts of the scholars in translating research results into policy and practices, for better society. It is included the findings and reviews of factors of illness, epidemiology, health promotion, health policy, nutrition, environmental health and safety, nursing and midwifery, and other sciences related to health development.

The 4th International Conference on Applied Health and Science (ICASH) wishes to serve as a medium to share knowledge and experience among scholars, health practitioners and scientist in order to gain better understanding of the most crucial issues in Asia-Pacific region yet to provide evidence-based studies to direct the government and policy makers in designing strategic planning and health programs for the future growth and development of the regions. Not only government, individuals as community members are also responsible for their own health and well-being. We do believe that the success of this event will benefit the mankind, especially the governments and policy makers in designing strategic planning for the future growth and development of Asian countries.

Programs

The 4th ICASH will be a two-day conference program, with one day pre-conference (designed for co-host members) and one day main conference (open for Public). In the pre-conference (23 July 2019), the participants will be exposed to three symposia whose speakers were invited to present their works to enable knowledge and experience sharing among participants from different countries. The main conference (24 July 2019) will present keynote speeches from experts and panel session. In the panel sections, participants can select the topics based on their preference on the sub-themes: 1) Public Health (epidemiology, health promotion, health policy, environmental health and safety, nutrition); 2) Medical and health science, 3) Nursing and midwifery, and 4) Applied science and technology in health, where selected papers will be presented either in oral or poster sessions.

Topics

Authors are invited to submit papers reporting results addressing issues on applied science and public health. Topics of interests for submission include, but are not limited to:

  • Public Health (epidemiology, health promotion, health policy, nutrition, environmental health, and safety)
  • Medical and health science
  • Nursing and Midwifery
  • Applied science related to health development

What's new

At the 4th ICASH, we open PHOTO ESSAY to be presented only in a poster session. PHOTO ESSAY mostly comprises of 10-15 high-resolution photographs with 200-500 words of text on a topic that relates to health and well-being. The photographs can broadly describe the extension of political, social, and environmental determinants of health. No abstract is required for PHOTO ESSAY, thus, if abstract of all submitted papers will be published on the abstract book, articles submitted as PHOTO ESSAY will be excluded from the book. As the privilege, the selected PHOTO ESSAY will be published in Global Health Management Journal. If selected, there are no additional fee including the article processing charges, submissions fees, or any other costs required to submit articles to this journal.

Open-Access Journal

Selected papers will be encouraged to be submitted to GLOBAL HEALTH MANAGEMENT JOURNAL (GHMJ)(ISSN 2580-9296 ONLINE) an open-access, triannual, peer-reviewed, online journal with a strong emphasize on health and applied science in health. Never forget to mention, we send privilege to authors who present their PHOTO ESSAY in poster session, the essay will be published at this journal. There are no article processing charges, submissions fees, or any other costs required to submit articles to this journal.
